Over 20K People Caught For Travelling Without Ticket In Pune Division In July Month
Pune 2nd August 2023: The officials of the Pune division of railways have caught 20,199 passengers for travelling without ticket in the July month. A fine of Rs 1 Crore 53 Lakh was recovered from these passengers, said officials.
The railway officials have also caught a total of 8,435 passengers for irregular travel during this period and a fine of Rs 48.88 lakh was recovered from them. Besides, a total of 150 passengers who were found travelling with luggage without paying for it were also found and a fine of Rs 15,000 was recovered from them.
The railway officials have appealed the passengers to purchase tickets for their train journey and warned of action if they are found without tickets.
