Over 38,000 Applications Received for 6,294 MHADA Flats in Pune Division

Pune, November 28, 2024: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) Pune Division has received more than 38,000 applications for 6,294 flats in the past month and a half.
The application process for the MHADA housing lottery began on October 10, 2024. However, due to the Diwali celebrations and the State Assembly Elections, many applicants requested an extension of the deadline. In response, MHADA extended the registration deadline to December 10, 2024.
Among the flats available, 2,340 will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. The remaining flats include 93 under various MHADA schemes, 418 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 3,312 under the 20% Comprehensive Housing Scheme, and 131 under the 15% Social Housing Scheme.
Rahul Sakore, Chief Officer of MHADA Pune Division, announced that the online application deadline has been extended to December 10, 2024, while the payment and deposit submission deadline is December 12, 2024. The lucky draw for the flats is scheduled for January 7, 2025.
Sakore emphasised the transparency of the process, stating that the application, lottery, and possession stages are entirely computerised and conducted online to ensure fairness.
Interested applicants must visit the official website, www.mhada.gov.in, to apply for the lottery. Those opting for the first-come, first-served scheme are advised to register at lottery.mhada.gov.in.
