Panipuri Vendor Brutally Beaten Up, Stall Vandalised In Pune

Pune, 15th August 2022: Three people beat up a panipuri vendor and vandalized his stall after the vendor demanded money for panipuri. The incident took place in the Loni Kalbhor area. The accused looted Rs 1,500 and created panic on the street. Police have arrested three people in the case.

The arrested have been identified as Vaibhav Rajabhau Tarange (19), Tushar Anil Adagale (18) and Pratap Balu Londhe (21), all residents of Uruli Kanchan. Panipuri vendor Anil Rathod (age 32, resident Uruli Kanchan) has filed a complaint at Loni Kalbhor Police Station under Pune city police.

 

According to police, Rathod runs a van selling panipuri in the Dattawadi area of Uruli Kanchan. The accused, Vaibhav, Tushar, and Pratap ate panipuri at Rathod’s stall. Rathod demanded money for the panipuri, but the three replied as goons calling themselves ‘Bhai’ from the area. The three accused later beat Rathod with a bamboo stick.

 

The three created panic by vandalizing the panipuri stall and ran away after looting cash. Rathod was injured in the beating. The three, who escaped, were caught by the police. Police Sub-Inspector Ghodke is investigating the case.
