Pune, 15th August 2022: Amrit Mahotsav Independence Day was celebrated today in Pune city with a series of songs, evoking the spark of patriotism, attractive patterns of Rangoli, tricolour balloons, garlands, and showering of flowers on the flag during flag hoisting. Due to the decrease in the spread of coronavirus, the flag hoisting program was held everywhere in traditional jubilation as citizens could hoist the community flag after two years.

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari hoisted the flag at Vidhan Bhawan. “There has been no corruption during the eight years of the Modi government. No one is scared. From this, it comes to mind that Modi is working hard to get rid of corruption,” said Koshyari in his speech.

In response to the central government’s campaign ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, Pune residents have hoisted the tricolour on their houses since Saturday. Similarly, the traders hoisted the tricolour on the shops. Auto owners, along with rickshaw drivers and two-wheeler drivers, have hoisted the tricolour on their vehicles. The two-wheeler tricolour round drawn by various political parties, social, cultural institutions and organizations received a spontaneous response.
