Lonavla, 17th October 2022: As part of Fit India Movement to promote the physical fitness and mental resilience, the Instructors and trainees of INS Shivaji participated in Lake swimming Aquathon championship conducted on 16 Oct 22 at Aamby Valley, Lonavla.

95 personnel from INS Shivaji participated in the lake swimming under six different categories ranging from 450 mtr to 7.5 km.

Proficiency in swimming is a key skill taught by the Indian Navy to prepare the future sailors for service at sea.
