Pashan School Incident: Peon Caught Filming Students in Toilet

Pune, 8th January 2025: A disturbing incident of a school peon secretly filming inside the toilet of a girls’ school in the Pashan area has come to light, leading to his arrest. The accused, identified as Tushar Appa Sarode (35), a resident of Pashan, was taken into custody by Chatushrungi police.

The police have seized Sarode’s mobile phone, and a technical analysis will be conducted to gather evidence. A case has been registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to the police, the incident occurred during a physical education (PT) class at the school on Tuesday. After training on the ground, students went to the school’s toilet, which also serves as a changing room. Sarode, who was reportedly standing near the changing area, was asked by students to leave. He left but deliberately left his mobile phone behind.

A vigilant student noticed the phone and discovered it was recording. She promptly informed the school authorities, who contacted the Chatushrungi police. The police arrived at the scene, questioned Sarode, and arrested him after confirming his involvement.
