Pashankar Automobile chairman goes missing; leaves a suicide note

Pune, October 23, 2020: The disappearance of 64-year-old Gautam Pashankar, chairman of the famous Pashankar Automobiles, on Wednesday has created a stir amongst the city’s industrial sector.

The incident came to light after the family members filed a missing person complaint with the Shivajinagar Police Station.

Initial investigation has revealed that a suicide note of Pashankar too has been found. In the suicide note, he has mentioned about taking up the suicide step due to financial losses in the business.

According to the police, Pashankar left for work to his Loni Kalbhor office on Wednesday as usual. While coming back to Shivajinagar’s office, he handed over a sealed envelope to his driver and asked him to deliver it safely to his family members. After that, he left the office and walked towards Savitribai Phule Pune University.

The probe also revealed that the envelope given to the driver contained the suicide note. Further investigation using CCTV is being carried out by the police, informed officials from Shivajinagar police station.
