PCDA (O) PUNE LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE AND INTERACTIVE VOICE RESPONSE SYSTEM (IVRS)
Pune, May 13, 2016 – An inauguration ceremony to launch newly developed website of PCDA (O) Pune and Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) was held in PCDA(O) Pune office on 13/05/2016. Ms. Shobhana Joshi, Controller General of Defence Accounts was the chief guest. The function was also attended by GOC Dakshin Maharashtra Sub Area Maj Gen Prithi Singh and other senior Army officers.
Ms. Shobhana Joshi, CGDA, in her inaugural address emphasised that in our endeavour to bring about continuous improvement in delivery of services to Army officers, PCDA(O) has taken several measures. The launch of website and IVRS is a step in our efforts to meet the rising expectations of Army officers as also to significantly enhance capabilities for online service delivery. She also mentioned that with the new website and IVRS in place, nearly 49,000 Army officers serving across the length and breadth of the country can look forward for improved satisfaction and happy experience in dealing with PCDA (O).
GOC Dakshin Maharashtra Sub Area Maj Gen Prithi Singh, as guest of honour, while complimenting and appreciating PCDA (O) office for the new initiative, mentioned that Army Officers , regardless of their place of posting , can interact with PCDA(O) through the website and IVRS for seeking information , clarification and tracking their claims ,and there is no need to personally visit PCDA(O) Pune.
On this occasion Dr. G.D.Pungle, PCDA (O) Pune, in his welcome address, brought out that PCDA (O) office is committed to professional excellence while serving Army officers. He emphasised that to realise this vision of providing better and more satisfying services to Army officers spread across the country, a new and more comprehensive version of the website and the IVRS have been launched. IVRS would be particularly useful in providing information to Army officers posted in remote areas not having access to internet facility.
Representatives of various defence establishments and organizations like Dakshin Maharashtra Sub Area, Command Hospital, Pune, Command Dental Centre , Pune, Principal Director of Audit (Defence Services), PCDA (SC), CFA(fys), Kirkee, were also present on the occasion.
Within few hours of the launch of website , it was visited by around 1000 officers.
Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Mahesh Khumkar, Addl CDA. The compering of the program was done by Smt Bhawini Upadhyay, ACDA. The program concluded with the National Anthem.
