PCMC: 1038 new COVID cases, 450 discharged today

Pimpri, 21 August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 1038 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 450 people got discharged from hospitals while 15 people died today.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 39,859 out of which 26,220 have recovered while 751 have died. 6954 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 572 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 150 have died and 1546 have been cured.

Across Maharashtra, 11,749 people got discharged from hospitals while 14,161 new cases and 339 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 6,57,450 out of which 4,70,873 people have recovered and 21,698 have died. There are 1,64,562 active cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,905,823 across the country. Out of this, 2,158,946 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 54,849 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 6,92028 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
