PCMC: 21 deaths, 1012 new COVID cases reported today

Pimpri, 6th August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 1012 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 266 people got discharged from hospitals while 21 people died today. The report is for the period from 5th August 6.30 pm to 4 pm today (August 6).

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 26118 out of which 17673 have recovered while 444 have died. 4175 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 342 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 101 have died and 1104 have been cured.

Across Maharashtra, 3,16,375 patients have recovered while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.50%. As of today, there are 1,46,305 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 65.94%. Currently, 9,76,332 people are in home quarantine and 37,768 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 24,87,990 laboratory samples, 4,79,779 have been tested positive (19.28%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,964,536 across the country. Out of this, 1,328,336 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 40,699 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 595,501 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
