PCMC: 869 new COVID cases, 17 deaths today

Pimpri, 24 August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 869 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 618 people got discharged from hospitals while 17 people died today.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 42,517 out of which 28,575 have recovered while 794 have died. 6723 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 632 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 166 have died and 1630 have been cured.

Across Maharashtra, 14,219 people got discharged from hospitals while 11,015 new cases and 212 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 6,93,398 out of which 5,02,490 people have recovered and 22,465 have died. There are 1,68,126 active cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,106,348 across the country. Out of this, 2,338,035 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 57,542 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 710,771 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
