Maharashtra COVID report: 11,015 new cases, 14,219 discharged today

Mumbai, Aug 24, 2020: A total of 14,219 patients were discharged and 11,015 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 2304 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 212 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.24%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 6,93,398 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

 

According to the health department, 5,02,490 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.24%. As of today, there are 1,68,126 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 72.47% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.24%. Currently, 12,44,024 people are in home quarantine and 33,922 people are in institutional quarantine.

 

Out of 36,63,488 laboratory samples, 6,93,398 have been tested positive (18.92%) for COVID-19 until today.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,106,348 across the country. Out of this, 2,338,035 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 57,542 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 710,771 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
