Pune City: 1101 New COVID Cases, 45 Deaths Reported Today
Pune, Aug 24, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 1188 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery from Coronavirus disease (COVID19) in Pune city today. Also, 1101 new patients were detected while 45 people died today. Today swab samples of 5129 people were collected for COVID tests.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 84,496 out of which 67,777 have been cured while 2033 have died. There are still 14,686 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 802 critical patients out of which 487 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, 14,219 people got discharged from hospitals while 11,015 new cases and 212 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 6,93,398 out of which 5,02,490 people have recovered and 22,465 have died. There are 1,68,126 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,106,348 across the country. Out of this, 2,338,035 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 57,542 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 710,771 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
