PCMC bans entry of citizens, contractors in its main building

Pimpri, June 20, 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has put restrictions on people’s visit to the main office in Pimpri. PCMC commissioner Shravan Hardikar has issued a letter requesting citizens to approach the administration through the digital medium in the times of COVID-19.

Considering the current situation, when there has been a surge in cases of COVID-19 patients in the PCMC jurisdiction, taking precautionary measure the administration has closed it’s access to public till June 30. Citizens, contractors and others are prohibited from visiting PCMC office till June 30. For any kind of suggestions, proposals, request, people can contact the administration through telephone, e-mail or WhatsApp, read the letter by Hardikar issued today.

The number of COVID19 cases has reached 1715 in PCMC areas until today. Out of this, 1037 have recovered while 28 people have died due to Coronavirus. There are still 650 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
