PCMC: BJP Corporator’s Son Shoots Himself With Pistol

Chinchwad, 29th March 2021: Prasanna Shekhar Chinchwade (21), shot himself in the head and died of suicide, police said. He was the son of corporator Karuna Chinchwade.

According to police, the incident took place around 9:15 pm on Sunday. Prasanna shot himself with his father’s licensed pistol at his residence in Chinchwad. The family members were on the lower floor of the house after dinner when they heard a gunshot. The injured Prasanna was rushed to a private hospital. However, he died during treatment late Sunday night.

Police said that on Sunday, Prasanna had gone to the showroom with family members to buy a new car. However, on Sunday night, he suddenly died of suicide by firing a pistol. Police said that no suicide note has been found.

Chinchwad police are further investigating the case.
