PCMC Urges Citizens Pay Property Tax Before June 30 to Avail Rebates

Pimpri, 13th June 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has appealed to property owners to pay their property tax before June 30, 2025, to avail of various rebates. Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh, a special drive has been launched by the Tax Collection Department to encourage timely payments.
Citizens paying their dues online via the official PCMC website or mobile app are eligible for a direct 10% rebate. Additionally, properties registered in women’s names are entitled to up to 30% rebate, as part of a broader women empowerment initiative.
The PCMC also offers tax concessions to:
-Housing societies adopting eco-friendly practices
-Properties owned by persons with disabilities
-Women property owners
These incentives have encouraged a large number of citizens to make timely payments.
Strong Response to Online Payments:
So far, 1,89,823 property owners have paid a total of ₹189.52 crore through online transactions and have benefited from the rebate scheme. The online platform has seen growing engagement, reflecting public confidence in the corporation’s digital services.
Warning to Defaulters:
As of now, around 76,688 property owners owe a total of ₹498 crore in outstanding dues. The PCMC has issued bills and pre-seizure notices to these defaulters. If dues remain unpaid, the civic body has warned that properties will be seized as per legal provisions.
To improve citizen convenience, PCMC has made several services available online, including property tax payment, non-due certificates, and more, under its initiative for transparent and citizen-centric governance.
Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil stated, “For the city’s holistic development, including infrastructure, sanitation, roads, and water supply, property tax is a vital revenue source. Citizens should contribute to this growth by paying taxes on time. The rebate offered before June 30 is a golden opportunity.”
“We aim to offer quick, transparent, and user-friendly services. Citizens paying online get a 10% rebate, and women property holders can claim up to 30%. However, non-payment of overdue taxes will lead to property seizure. Citizens are urged to act promptly,” said Assistant Commissioner Avinash Shinde
