Sameer More, Branch Engineer, Pavana Dam informed that Summer is only a few days away. Presently, there is 28.60 per cent water storage in Pavana Dam. This water storage is sufficient till the end of July. However, citizens should use water carefully.

This year, 2,777 mm of rain was recorded in the catchment area. So three times the dam was 100 per cent full. Meanwhile, last year, 2,722 mm of rain was recorded. 55 mm more rain than last year has been recorded. By the end of August, the Pavana Dam was overflowing.

50 MLD water supply has started from Andra Dam so that the city residents do not have to face severe water shortages at present. However, complaints of low-pressure water supply are coming from different parts of the city. Difficulties can arise if the arrival of the monsoon is delayed or if there is not enough rain.
