Pimpri-Chinchwad: 3 Patients With New Strain Of Coronavirus Detected In PCMC Area Today

Pimpri, January 7, 2021: Three Pimpri-Chinchwad residents who returned from the United Kingdom (UK) have been found positive with the new strain of Coronavirus, stated a report from the Maharashtra health department.

The three are undergoing treatment and are in good health. Another passenger’s test report is yet to come.

The Pimpri Chinchwad municipal corporation (PCMC) has traced 268 passengers who had landed in Mumbai from England. Samples of seven suspects were sent to National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune. Three of the reports came back negative and three were found to be UK strain of COVID19.
