Pimpri Chinchwad: 82 Citizen Grievances Addressed in Jansamvad; New Co-ordination Officers Appointed to Enhance Redressal Process

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 10th February 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) held its scheduled public interaction meeting, ‘Jansamvad’ today, during which citizens raised a total of 82 grievances and suggestions. As part of PCMC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communication between citizens and the administration, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh has directed that these meetings be conducted on the second and fourth Monday of every month at all zonal offices.

To streamline the resolution process, coordination officers presided over today’s meetings across all eight zonal offices—A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. The breakdown of grievances received was as follows: A – 16, B – 6, C – 6, D – 13, E – 5, F – 3, G – 14, and H – 19.

Key issues raised by residents included maintenance of roadside trees, repair of non-functional streetlights, fixing broken drainage chambers, clearing construction debris, ensuring proper water drainage on roads, conducting fumigation and pesticide spraying in various areas, improving sanitation in public toilets, and repairing potholes.

In a move to enhance efficiency, PCMC has recently appointed senior officers as chief coordinators for these public meetings. The General Administration Department has issued formal orders to this effect, ensuring better responsiveness and faster resolution of citizen concerns.
