Pimpri Chinchwad: 9 new COVID cases reported today, tally reaches 204

Pimpri, May 17, 2020: Nine new Coronavirus positive patients have been detected in the area under the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) taking the total tally of patients to 204 till 7.40 pm today. Also, six patients were discharged from hospital. The new patients are between the age group 19 to 63 years. Out of nine new patients, four are men and five women.

 

According to PCMC, the new patients are from Dighi, Vikasnagar in Kiwale, Anandnagar near Chinchwad station, Morevasti in Chikhli, Pimple Gurav and Sambhajinagar in Chinchwad. PCMC officials said that out of total 204 patients 125 have been cured and discharged while four have died. There are still 75 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals including 11 who are admitted outside PCMC.

 

Meanwhile, 201 new cases have been detected in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area taking the total number of patients to 3496. Nine patients died while 53 were discharged from hospitals today. According to PMC, out of 3496 total patients 1751 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 194 people have died. There are 1551 active patients still admitted to different hospitals. There are 141 critical patients including 45 with ventilator support. Today swab samples of 693 patients were collected for testing. Till now samples of 30917 people have been tested.

 

Across Maharashtra, 2347 new Covid-19 cases were reported today. The state tally of COVID-19 positive patients is now 33,053. There were 63 COVID-related deaths in the state today. Death toll in Covid-19 patients has now gone up to 1198 in the state. 7688 patients have been discharged till date after full recovery.
