Pimpri Chinchwad: Lighthouse Kaushalyam Secures 1,204 Job Placements in 2024-25
Pimpri Chinchwad, 2nd January 2024: In an impressive demonstration of its transformative impact, the Lighthouse Kaushalyam initiative has successfully placed 1,204 youth in 2024-25, further solidifying its role as a catalyst for career growth in Pimpri Chinchwad. With a remarkable 75% employment rate since its inception in 2021, the program has witnessed enrollment of 3,692 young individuals since 2021, of which 2,755 youth are in employment, providing them with critical skills.
PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said, “Lighthouse Kaushalyam is a prime example of how skill development can drive economic empowerment. With over 75% of participants securing jobs within six months of completing their training, this initiative is closely aligned with our vision of creating a self-reliant and empowered society. The program is a testament to what can be achieved when industry, government, and community work together for the common good.”
The initiative, which operates across 11 centers in the city, offers a diverse range of industry-relevant courses in sectors such as retail, IT, healthcare, manufacturing, and creative fields. With its focus on practical training, personalized counseling, and industry exposure, Lighthouse Kaushalyam is enhancing employability and driving social and economic change by empowering youth and their families.

Saurav Parmeshwar Hadimani, a CNC Operator placed through the program, credits Lighthouse Kaushalyam with transforming his life. “Lighthouse helped me discover my strengths and guided me toward the right career. Thanks to their support, I am now working as a CNC operator, and my life has changed for the better,” says Saurav.
Gaurav Rohidas Fulware, who secured a job at Mahindra & Mahindra with a salary of Rs 18,000, shares, “The training I received in interview preparation, resume building, and typing tests gave me the edge I needed. Lighthouse changed my life and improved my family’s financial situation.”
