Nigdi,24th July 2025: In a disturbing incident that has sparked outrage, a 45-year-old man’s residence in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Nigdi Pradhikaran area was targeted with caste-based abuse, violent threats, and vandalism late on Monday night.
The Nigdi Police have registered a case against Kamlesh Dhawale (28), a resident of Talawade, and another unidentified individual under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (2023), Arms Act (1959), Maharashtra Police Act (1951), The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act (1989), and Criminal Law (Amendment) Act (2018).

The accused also allegedly threatened to kill the complainant and his brother, shouting, “We are out of jail, arrested under MCOCA. I’m a bhai here!” In a violent act of intimidation, the duo hurled cement blocks at the brothers and used a koyta (sickle) to damage the gate’s nameplate and wall-mounted lamps.
In a shocking and demeaning gesture, one of the accused urinated on the property before fleeing the scene.
The Nigdi Police are continuing their investigation. Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken under the relevant laws to ensure justice is served.
