Pimpri-Chinchwad, 4th November 2024: The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has resolved internal factionalism and discontent among party workers in Pimpri-Chinchwad ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

During a joint press conference held on Sunday, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) Deputy Leader Sachin Ahir and NCP (Sharad Pawar) MP Amol Kolhe announced that the alliance is united and ready to secure victory in all three constituencies in the city.

The Shiv Sena workers in Pimpri-Chinchwad had expressed discontent over the Uddhav Thackeray faction not securing a single candidate for the region’s three seats. In response, senior leaders from the Shiv Sena, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress convened a meeting with local Shiv Sena office-bearers and workers to address their concerns. Following the meeting, leaders held a joint press conference where they stressed that unity had been restored within the alliance.

Ahir, addressing the media, assured that any dissatisfaction among Shiv Sena workers had been resolved. “Despite the strength of the party in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Shiv Sena workers were unhappy about not securing any seats. However, after today’s meeting, we are moving forward with a unified front for the assembly elections,” Ahir said.

MP Kolhe expressed gratitude to the Shiv Sena for their cooperation, specifically acknowledging Ahir’s efforts in keeping the alliance intact. “With this unity, the Maha Vikas Aghadi is confident of winning all three seats in Pimpri-Chinchwad with a decisive majority,” Kolhe said.

The press conference was attended by several prominent MVA leaders, including Shiv Sena leaders Gautam Chabukswar, Sanjog Waghere, and Sulabhatai Ubale, as well as NCP’s Rahul Kalate, who is contesting from Chinchwad, Ajit Gavhane from Bhosari, and Sulakshana Shilawant from Pimpri.
