Pimpri Chinchwad: PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh Inaugurates New Citizen-Centric Website

Pimpri, 22nd April 2025: In a significant step towards enhancing digital governance, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) officially launched its newly developed website recently. The new platform was inaugurated by PCMC Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh and is now live for public use. Designed to deliver faster, more transparent and secure services, the website aims to offer a citizen-first experience while integrating modern technology and robust security features.

Key Features of the New Website:
Accessibility Standard (WCAG-AA): The website has been designed to be accessible for persons with disabilities, in compliance with international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
AI-Powered Search: With ChatGPT-based AI integration, citizens can access information quickly through intuitive and conversational search features.
Improved Security and Feedback System: Incorporating feedback from 175 experts during Hackathon 2025, the website underwent rigorous testing by ethical hackers to ensure high-end data protection.
GIGW Compliant: Developed as per the Government of India’s Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW), ensuring consistency and reliability.
One-Stop Digital Services: Citizens can now pay taxes, register complaints, and access a wide range of civic services at the click of a button.
The project was led under the guidance of PCMC’s Chief Information and Technology Officer Nilkanth Poman and IT Officer Ujwala Godse.
