Pimpri-Chinchwad police launch traffic awareness drive in Alandi
Alandi, February 16, 2021: Under the Road Safety Campaign, Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Branch organized a public awareness drive at Alandi today. Pimpri Chinchwad city police, school college students and charitable organizations participated in the drive.
Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash was the chief guest at the 32nd Road Safety Campaign. Deputy Commissioner of Police Manchak Ipper, Deputy RTO Atul Ade, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shrikant Disle, President of Shri Dnyaneshwar Shikshan Sanstha Suresh Wadgaonkar, Secretary Ajit Wadgaonkar, Trustee Prakash Kale, Principal of Sharad Chandra Pawar College Dr Thorat, Principal of Shri Dnyaneshwar Vidyalaya and Junior College Deepak Mungse, Shri Dnyaneshwar Primary Vidyamandir School Principal Pradip Kale and college students, professors and citizens were present.
The traffic awareness drive started at 11 am from Fruitwala Dharamshala Alandi. It was attended by college students, volunteers of NSS, other charitable organizations.
The students raised awareness by carrying posters and banners of traffic rules. Also, awareness of traffic rules was spread through Janajagruti Rath, Palkhi, Bullock Cart, Lezim Pathak, Bhajani Mandal etc.
The first, second and third place winners of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate Traffic Branch’s essay writing, painting, poster competition were honoured with certificates by the dignitaries.
Addressing the students, Commissioner of Police Krishna Prakash appealed to them to observe traffic rules. He also gave them various examples.
