Pimpri Chinchwad Police Release Guidelines For Inter-District, Inter-States Travel

Pimpri, 23 April 2021: Due to the increasing COVID-19 cases across the state, the Maharashtra government has issued various curbs and orders for a lockdown. Restrictions have been imposed on travel to other districts/states from April 22 to May 1.

If a citizen wants to travel interdistrict or interstate by private vehicle for an urgent reason, he/she has to get an e-pass by filling in personal information and photo along with the documents as proofs for the urgent and valid reason to travel on the website https://covid19.mhpolice.in/
DCP (Crime) Sudhir Hiremath said, “People can apply online for travel e-pass by giving valid reasons and proper documents that are required for the approval of the e-pass.”
Citizens who want to travel should submit a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test (RAT)/RT-PCR taken with the last 72 hours. Citizens are prohibited from getting long-term passes and if the return journey is longer than three days, they have to apply for an e-pass from the authority of destination.”
1. Death of a loved one or a serious illness – People can get an e-pass in case of a death of a blood relative or in case of serious illness proved with a doctor’s certificate. These documents should be submitted while filling an online application for an e-pass.
2. Wedding
a. Marriage party – After getting necessary permission from the local authority, apply for an e-pass online for traveling. However, only blood relatives will be allowed to travel with occupying only half of the seating capacity in a vehicle. The documents required are a wedding card, permission, a list of invitees’ relationships, etc. Documents should be present with the applicant during time of travel and also should be submitted while filling the online application for an e-pass.
b. Personal invitation – Documents proving that the individual is one of the 25 invitees present for the wedding, as well as documents proving the relationship and the marriage certificate should be brought, should be submitted while filling an online application for e-pass.
3. Essential services – Persons working in emergency management and other essential services, doctors traveling for emergency services, nurses, and health department employees can get the e-pass. The essential service employees traveling outside the district for official work will not need an e-pass if they carry their duty identity card with them with a valid reason to travel.
Freight vehicles will not require an e-pass.
The passes will not be issued if there are no valid reasons for travel. Apart from that, incomplete details, invalid documents, and if the documents do not relate to the selected essentials services, incomplete documents or if the photo is unclear, or if the previous pass has been given and if it is out of the jurisdiction, then the e-pass will not be issued.
