Pimpri-Chinchwad, 31 March 2021: The water supply to Pimpri-Chinchwad will be temporarily halted on Thursday (April 1, 2021) due to electrical maintenance and repair work at the water pumping station in Ravet. After the water cut on Thursday, the water supply is likely to remain disrupted on Friday, informed Water Supply Department engineer Praveen Ladkat.

Water is supplied to Pimpri-Chinchwad from Pavana dam. Water is pumped out of the weir in Ravet. It is then purified at Sector 23 Nigdi and supplied to the residents.

To carry out electrical maintenance and repair works at the water pumping station in Ravet, the water supply in the city will be shut on Thursday.

The municipal corporation will supply water on Thursday morning. However, during the latter part of the day, it will remain closed due to the repair work.

The water supply will be temporarily halted in all parts of the city. The water supply is likely to remain disrupted on the next day as well. Therefore, the PCMC’s Water Supply Department has appealed to the citizens to use water sparingly.
