Pimpri-Chinchwad: Wife Plotted Husband’s Death To Marry Lover, Arrested; Investigation Underway

Dudulgaon, 6th March 2025: Pimpri-Chinchwad Crime Branch cracked the murder case of a truck driver in Dudulgaon within five days, revealing a shocking conspiracy involving the victim’s wife and her lover. The accused planned and executed the murder to remove obstacles in their relationship and marry.
The victim, identified as 34-year-old Amusab Saheblal Mulla, was found stabbed to death near a deserted mountainous area in Dudulgaon on 28th February. With no initial leads at the crime scene, the case was jointly investigated by the Crime Branch Unit Three, Anti-Gunda Squad and Dighi police.
During the probe, police questioned Mulla’s wife, Zeba Amusab Mulla (30), who attempted to mislead investigators by providing false information. However, suspicion grew when officers questioned a scrap dealer living near the victim’s house. The dealer revealed that Abdul Maqbul Malik (45), a resident of Dudulgaon and a native of Uttar Pradesh, had suddenly left for his hometown after the murder.
Acting on this lead, police traced and arrested Abdul in Uttar Pradesh. Upon interrogation, he confessed to having an extramarital affair with Zeba and admitted to murdering Amusab at her behest. The accused further revealed that their motive was to eliminate Amusab so they could marry.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Doifode confirmed the arrests and stated that further investigations are underway.
