Pimpri To Swargate Pune Metro Route To Open In March 2024

Pune, 27th October: The eagerly awaited Pune Metro system commenced its journey last year, marking a significant milestone in the region’s public transportation network. In its first phase, the Metro operated between PCMC and Phugewadi, greatly improving commuting options for residents. Since August 1, the Metro has extended its service to the civil court, further enhancing connectivity.

In the upcoming phase of expansion, the Metro will run from Pimpri to Swargate, with the inauguration scheduled for March 2024. This development will provide a direct route for the citizens of Pimpri Chinchwad, saving passengers valuable travel time.

Redevelopment Expo

The construction of one of the three metro lines in Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune cities is slated for completion by the end of December, allowing Pune residents to travel directly from Vanaz to Ramwadi. Following this, the focus will shift to the Pimpri to Swargate route, extending the Metro’s reach and accessibility.

While some Metro routes in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad have already commenced operations, including the routes from Pimpri to Civil Court and Vanaz to Ruby Hall, passenger services are already in effect. The construction of the remaining lines from Ruby Hall to Ramwadi Metro Station and Civil Court to Swargate Metro Station is progressing rapidly, Ruby Hall to Ramwadi Metro Station will be open for passenger service by the end of December 2023. Furthermore, the Civil Court to Swargate Metro Station is set to open by the end of March 2024, according to the Metro Administration.
