PMC Elections: Kunal Tilak Highlights Women and Child Welfare Concerns During Budhwar Peth Outreach
Budhwar Peth, 12th January 2026: As part of the ongoing municipal election campaign, BJP candidate from Ward 25-D Kunal Shailesh Tilak conducted a door-to-door outreach in Budhwar Peth along with other candidates from the ward. During the interactions, Tilak gave special attention to issues related to women and children raised by local residents.
Women in the area flagged concerns about safety, access to basic healthcare services, the availability of clean public toilets, and the need for safer spaces for children. Residents also stressed the importance of educational support and recreational facilities for children in densely populated neighbourhoods.
Tilak took note of the feedback shared during the outreach and said that women’s safety and child welfare must remain central to ward-level planning. He observed that addressing these issues would require coordinated efforts involving civic authorities, social organisations and active community participation.
The outreach reflected a focused attempt to understand sensitive social issues through direct engagement. Residents responded positively to the interaction, stating that sustained attention to women and child welfare is crucial for inclusive and sustainable development in Ward 25-D.
