Shiv Sena Steps Up Campaign in Kondhwa

Kondhwa, 12th January 2026: The Shiv Sena has intensified its campaign for the Pune Municipal Corporation elections, with a series of rallies and public meetings organised across the Kondhwa and Mohammadwadi areas in the presence of party leader Dr Neelam Gorhe. The campaign programmes received an enthusiastic response from citizens, boosting the confidence of Shiv Sena candidates contesting from the region.

On January 11, a rally was taken out in Ward No. 19 (Kondhwa Khurd–Kausar Baug) in support of candidates Tasmin Patel, Zaheer Sheikh and Junaid Sheikh. Led by Dr Gorhe, the rally covered the stretch from Jyoti Hotel Chowk to Kausar Baug and Sheetal Petrol Pump in Kondhwa, with large-scale participation from local residents.

In Ward No. 40 (Kondhwa Budruk–Yewalewadi), Dr Gorhe visited the election office of candidates Sangeeta Thosar and Pushpa Memane and interacted with party workers and citizens. A sizeable gathering marked the occasion, with residents actively engaging in the campaign activities.
Similarly, a public meeting was organised at Orient Palace in Ward No. 41 (Mohammadwadi–Undri) in support of candidates Sarika Pawar, Pramod Bhangire, Swati Takle and Machhindra Dagade. Addressing the gathering, Dr Gorhe expressed confidence that all four candidates would secure victory with a strong margin.

During her address, Dr Gorhe highlighted the special focus of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on development works in the constituency and reiterated the Shiv Sena’s identity as a party committed to public welfare. She urged party workers to actively communicate the decisions taken by Shinde in the interest of citizens through social media and personal outreach to ensure accurate information reaches the public.

Dr Gorhe also assured residents that development plans would be prepared after taking into account public opinion, particularly on issues such as roads, drainage lines and drinking water supply in newly included villages. “Shiv Sena is fully committed to development in these wards,” she said.

With the civic polls approaching, Shiv Sena’s campaign in the Kondhwa region is witnessing strong public participation, indicating a growing support base and strengthening the party’s presence in the area.
