PMC Elections: NCP Intensifies Campaign in Ward 11 With Corner Meetings
Kothrud, 10th January 2026: Electioneering has gathered pace in Ward No. 11 (Rambaug Colony–Shivtirth Nagar) as the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) panel intensified its outreach through a series of corner meetings across the area.
The meetings were organised in Kelewadi and surrounding localities, including Amarjyot Mitra Mandal, Shivshakti Mitra Mandal, Durgamata Pratishthan, Rajmudra Pratishthan, Milind Sangh in Hanumannagar, and Jaybhavani Nagar, in the presence of former deputy mayor Deepak Mankar.
The NCP’s official candidates from the ward — Harshwardhan Deepak Mankar, Trupti Nilesh Shinde, and Kanta Navnath Khilare — interacted directly with residents to discuss civic issues and development priorities. Party workers said the meetings received encouraging participation, with residents raising local concerns and sharing feedback on civic services.
Speaking to residents, Harshwardhan Mankar outlined various works undertaken in Hanumannagar, Kelewadi, and other parts of the ward. He referred to improvements in internal roads, efforts to strengthen the drinking water supply, and cleanliness measures supported through the deployment of garbage collection vehicles and sanitation staff. He also spoke about healthcare-related assistance extended under the Urban Poor Health Scheme, the establishment of a women’s skill development centre, the maternity hospital currently under construction, and infrastructure upgrades at Mamasheb Mohol School. He urged voters to support the entire NCP panel to ensure coordinated development across the ward.
Former deputy mayor Deepak Mankar said Harshwardhan Mankar has been actively involved in addressing basic civic issues such as water supply, electricity, and waste management for nearly a decade. He also highlighted initiatives aimed at generating employment opportunities for youth and improving educational facilities. According to him, development works carried out at Mamasheb Mohol School contributed to the school securing top honours under the ‘Mazi Shala, Sundar Shala’ initiative.
During the meeting, local resident Sangeeta Balkrishna Ahire shared her experience of receiving assistance during a family medical crisis. She recalled that when her daughter, Sapna Ahire, required treatment for a serious brain-related ailment, she approached Deepak Mankar for help.
“From hospital admission to financial support for treatment, he helped us at every step. Today my daughter is settled in life,” she said.
With continued corner meetings, direct engagement, and testimonials from residents, the campaign in Ward 11 has gained momentum as the Pune Municipal Corporation elections draw closer.
