PMC’s Home Isolation App Launched by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar

Pune, April 16, 2021: On behalf of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar launched the COVID-19 Home Isolation application at Vidhan Bhavan (Council Hall) on Friday.
Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, Pimpri Chinchwad Mayor Usha alias Mai Dhore, Zilla Parishad President Nirmala Pansare, MP Shrirang Barne, MP Dr Amol Kolhe, former minister and MLA Chandrakant Patil along with MLAs from the district, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil, Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Additional Commissioner Rubel Agarwal, and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
The application has been developed by the Pune Municipal Corporation for COVID-19 affected patients in home isolation and to monitor their health and treatment. “The home isolation application will definitely be very useful to COVID-19 patients in home isolation but will also help the Health Department in keeping an eye on patients undergoing treatment at home,” the deputy chief minister said.
Features of the application
- The COVID-19 patients’ fever, pulse, oxygen, cough, cold, fatigue, blood pressure, diabetes, etc., can be assessed at home using a simple click through the app.
- The patients can send an emergency alert message to their help which will reach the ward-wise helpline number.
- The patients can also order home isolation medical kits through the application.
- The application’s ward-wise dashboard, as well as the integrated dashboard in the headquarters war room, has the facility to monitor the patient’s symptoms and health status like oxygen, fever, etc.
- COVID-19 patients who do not have smartphones can send their health information from their relatives’ phones.
