PMPML Launches Three New Bus Routes and Extends One Route to Boost Pune Public Transport

Pune, 17th May 2025: Pune’s Public Transport system has been enhanced with the introduction of three new bus routes and the extension of an existing route by Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML). These changes aim to improve connectivity and convenience for commuters across the city.

Key details of the new and extended bus routes are as follows:

New Route No. 79: Hinjawadi (Maan) Phase 3 to Deccan Gymkhana
– Route covers Hinjawadi, Infosys Phase 2, Wakad Bridge, Bavdhan, Chandni Chowk, Kothrud Depot, SNDT College, and Deccan Gymkhana
– Bus frequency: Every 1 hour 40 minutes
– Number of buses: 2

New Route No. 318: Pune Station to Krishna Nagar
– Route includes Pune Station, RTO Pune, Simla Office, Aundh Gaon, Kalewadi Phata, KSB Chowk, Gharkul Wasahat Chikhali, Sane Chowk, and Krishna Nagar
– Bus frequency: Every 1 hour 20 minutes
– Number of buses: 2

New Route No. Y-38: Bhosari to Tulapur (operates only on Sundays and public holidays)
– Route passes through Bhosari, Shastri Chowk, Dehu Phata, Alandi, Solugao, Vadgaon Shinde Phata, Markal Gaon, and Tulapur Gaon
– Bus frequency: Every 1 hour 15 minutes
– Number of buses: 2

Extended Route No. 297: Rajas Society to Shivajinagar Railway Station (previously up to Swargate)
– Route covers Rajas Society, Katraj, Balaji Nagar, Swargate, AB Chowk, Shaniwar Wada, Simla Office, and Shivajinagar
– Bus frequency: Every 2 hours
– Number of buses: 1

PMPML has urged all citizens-including students, working professionals, women, and senior citizens-to utilize these enhanced bus services for their daily commute. These new and extended routes are expected to improve accessibility and efficiency within Pune’s public transport network.
