PMPML To Run Extra Buses During Ganeshotsav In Pune
Pune, 18th September 2023: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal (PMPML) will run extra buses during the Ganeshotsav festival from September 19 to 28, 2023.
Extra buses:
- 168 buses on September 20, 21, and 27
- 654 buses on September 22, 23, 25, and 26
Special bus service:
A special bus service will be provided during this period according to the passenger rush at the below-mentioned stations for the convenience of citizens:
- Swargate Bus Stand – Katraj, Dhankawadi, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Narhe, Ambegaon, Jambhulwadi, Upper Indiranagar, Market Yard, Sangvi, Alandi
Daily operation: Daily operation will be closed after 10.00 pm during the Ganeshotsav period and after 10.00 pm all buses will be operated as yatra special.
Additional fare: For bus service after 10.00 PM an additional fare of Rs 5 will be levied in the prevailing fare.
Pass discount: Since this night bus service offered during Ganeshotsav period is a special bus service, the pass discount has been kept for all pass holders till 12.00 pm. After that, no passes will work.
Diversion of buses: During Ganeshotsav period, the roads in the city division are kept closed by the police department in the evening. Therefore, the bus service in inner city will be continued by alternative route.
Advice to citizens: PMPML advises citizens to plan their journey in advance and to use public transportation to avoid traffic congestion.
