PNG Diamonds and Gold is now ‘PNG Brothers’
Pune, 20th September, 2017: Diamond has always been most desired gem by all for its enticing shine and with advent of modernisation the demand for diamond has generated new market. Similarly, it is Pune’s ‘PNG Diamonds and Gold’ that is one desired location since generations for the requirement of the jewellery. “Carrying on the years old legacy of purity and trust, ‘PNG Diamonds and Gold’ is now transforming into ‘PNG Brothers’. We assure to carry on the new identity with the same tradition,” declared Akshay Gadgil, Partner and Director of PNG Brothers while formally announcing the news at press conference held today.
On this exciting occasion, Padmini Gadgil, Director of PNG Brothers with her two sons Akshay and Rohan Gadgil, Nupur Gadgil and Arundhati Bhide, Media Head were present. Renowned actress Priya Bapat who is also the Brand Ambassador graced the occasion and unveiled ‘PNG Brothers’ new logo.
While talking of the PNG history, Akshay Gadgil said that it was Purushottam Narayan Gadgil started the gold jewellery business in Sangali in 1832. Later, it was the three brothers Visubhau, Nanakaka and Dajikaka who started the first retail store at Lakshmi road in Pune. Nanakaka alias Laxmanrao Gadgil was honored with the title ‘Ratnaparakhi’ by His Highness of Sangli. It was only after the 9thFebruary, 1958, the business boomed and expanded.
Considering the importance of gold jewellery as well as diamond, ‘PNG Jewellery and Gem’ came into existence under the guidance of Shrikrishna known as Rajabhau Gadgil in 1998, who not only created niche with gold and diamonds but also for precious stones, pearls and coral jewellery. After the sad demise of Shrikrishna Gadgil in 2002, Mrs. Gadgil took charge of the business and is running it successfully till date. Akshay and Rohan. Akshay Gadgil has completed his MBA in Finance & also has done a graduation in Gemology from USA. While, Rohan Gadgil has done MBA Finance along with the course in Diamond Grading.
“Apart from the new identity, ‘PNG Brothers’is also launching an exclusive ‘Diamond Lounge’ on Lakshmi Road to avail Punekars with a special facility of getting variety of diamonds, solitaires and precious stones at one stop location. This extravagant 2,000 square feet ‘Diamond Lounge’ will open doors on Thursday, 21stSeptember, 2017. The inauguration will be done by Girish Bapat, Guardian Minister of Pune District and Food and Supply Minister and Priya Bapat,” briefed Akshay Gadgil while disclosing new venture.
This ‘Diamond Lounge’ will not only house diamonds but also solitaires, precious stones, platinum, etc. under the same roof. While revealing the perks of the lounge, Akshay Gadgil informed that the convenience of Vallet Parking will be made available to the customers coming to the lounge on Lakshmi Road, which is considered as the main road in the city.
