Police Officer Manhandled By Hotel Owner At Police Station In Pune, Case Registered
Pune 17th July 2023: In a shocking incident reported in the city on Sunday, an on duty police officer was manhandled by a hotel owner inside a police station after the police objected him for running the hotel till late night. The incident took place at around 1:30 am on Sunday.
According to police, the patrolling team of Pune City Police’s Crime branch was on duty in the river basin area in the city when they noticed a hotel operating till late at night. The police team asked the hotel staff to close it since it was running beyond permissible hours but the owner had an argument with police personnel.
The police then brought the hotel owner at the Deccan Police Station but he continued argument there and later pushed and manhandled the police officer.
A case in this regard has been registered against the accused identified as Sachin Haribhau Bhagare (33) a resident of Narayan Peth area under section 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) . Further investigation in the matter is underway.
