Police Register Case Against NCP-SP City President Amid Internal Dispute in Pimpri Chinchwad
Pimpri Chinchwad, 13th November 2024: As the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections approach, Pimpri Chinchwad Police have registered a case against Nationalist Congress Party – Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) City President Tushar Kamthe for allegedly assaulting a party member. The incident has been classified as a non-cognisable offence.
The complaint was filed by Tushar Jaysingh Gade (32), a resident of Shahu Nagar, at the Nigdi Police Station. The case has been registered against Pimpri Chinchwad NCP-SP City President Tushar Gajanan Kamthe (40), a resident of Pimple Nilakh, and his colleague Kiran Jogdand (34), from Landewadi.
According to police reports, both Gade and Kamthe are associated with NCP-SP. The altercation began when Gade posted a message in a WhatsApp group criticising Kamthe. Jogdand reportedly responded with abusive language, warning Gade against “crazy actions” similar to previous incidents within the group. Gade replied, asserting that he and Kamthe were friends and could resolve their differences independently. Enraged, Jogdand allegedly slapped Gade. The complaint further claims that Kamthe later threatened Gade over the phone, warning him not to attend his events or face “consequences.”
