Porn Watchers May Be In Trouble, Data Leaked
Pune, January 24, 2021: The data of users of a famous porn website that contains personal information such as name and email ID has been leaked. Hackers may use the data to blackmail users or for cyber-attacks.
According to a Cyber News report, data from a porn website called MyFreeCams has been leaked. The leaked data contains information of about 2 million users. Data of the users, that is, including the email address, username, and password, is being sold in the black market.
According to a bitcoin report, seeking exchange for data, the user database is being sold on a famous forum of hackers. Here, in the form of bitcoin, $ 1500 is being demanded 10 thousand users’ data. It is being claimed that those who buy the data of 10 thousand users can earn at least 10 thousand dollars from it. After receiving the news, the porn website itself also confirmed the same and stated that they have reset the passwords of the users after informing them.
By looking at a sample of the stolen data, it is revealed that the username, email-address, MyFreeCams token balance, and password information are noted as plain text. MyFreeCams is a popular porn website, which has around 70 million monthly visitors. It is the 27th most popular adult site. If you are also a MyFreeCams user then it is better that you change the password of your UserID as soon as possible.

Hackers can use stolen details in many ways. They can use your MyFreeCams token balance. Apart from this, users may also get blackmailing emails, in which users may be threatened that information about them being involved with porn will be sent to family and friends. The email address might be used for phishing and spamming as well.
