Pune, 30th July 2025: Days after road repairs were hastily carried out in anticipation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s scheduled visit, potholes have resurfaced on several stretches in the Bibvewadi-Katraj area. The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) has launched an aggressive protest against Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), demanding immediate action.

The protest, organized by VBA’s Parvati Assembly unit at Shelke Wasti Riksha Stand, condemned both the civic body and the Maharashtra State Government for their negligence. VBA leaders issued a 15-day ultimatum to repair all damaged roads in the ward, warning that they would lay siege to the PMC Commissioner’s office if no action is taken.

The protest saw participation from key VBA members including Vishwas Gadade, Sagar Alhat, Ravindra Gaikwad and others.

The VBA called the road conditions “a civic failure” and accused PMC of resorting to temporary fixes for VIP movements while ignoring public safety.
