Prof. Prabhat Ranjan Felicitated for Seven Years of Exemplary Academic Leadership at DYPIU
Akurdi, 7th May 2025: D Y Patil International University (DYPIU), Akurdi, celebrated a milestone moment by felicitating Prof. Prabhat Ranjan for his outstanding contribution as the Founding Vice Chancellor, marking seven years of academic leadership and institution-building. The event was graced by Chancellor Dr. Sanjay Patil, who led the ceremony of appreciation.
In-charge Vice Chancellor Dr. Shashi Singh reflected on Prof. Ranjan’s visionary leadership and tireless dedication, while Controller of Examinations Dr. Madhura Jagtap shared heartfelt memories of working alongside him during his tenure. Dr. Arvind Kumar, director school of media and journalism at DYPIU congratulated Prof. Ranjan for his academic and research journey from IIT to Berkeley. He said, “Prof Ranjan is an icon from Bihar who inspires people with his vision and leadership.”
In his address, Prof. Ranjan expressed deep satisfaction and pride in collaborating with the university’s faculty and staff in establishing DYPIU as a reputed academic and research brand in a short span.
On this occasion, Satej Patil, Vice President, Dr D Y Patil Pratishthan announced that – “In recognition of Prof Ranjan’s exemplary service and in alignment with our future aspirations of the group. We are delighted to offer him the position of Chairman (Research, Innovation and International Relations) for all three universities and other higher educational institutes under the D. Y. Patil Group at Akurdi (Pune) and Kolhapur.”
The event was attended by Trustee Tejas Patil, Campus Director RAd. Amit Vikram (Retd.), and various college principals. The program was anchored and concluded with a vote of thanks by Smruti Shelke.
