Promoted Officers Downgraded To Peon, Watchmen By Yogi Government
Lucknow, January 10, 2021: In 2014, under the Samajwadi Party’s rule, the obliviousness that existed has now come to the fore. The rules and regulations were bypassed in such a way that the officials did not averse the promotion of peons and watchmen to the post of Deputy Director. Now the situation has become very uncomfortable as the matter has surfaced.
The latest example of the irony of the system in the state has come from the Information and Public Relations Department. Narsingh serving as a peon at District Information Office Bareilly under Regional Publicity Organization, Dayashankar posted as Watchman in Firozabad, Vinod Kumar Sharma, Cinema Operator-cum-Publicity Assistant, Mathura, and Anil Kumar serving as Cinema Operator-cum-Publicity Assistant at Bhadohi, on the basis of the service period, were given the post of Deputy Director in the same offices, they worked at.
When the matter reached the Allahabad High Court, it was revealed that these promotions made during the SP rule were against the rules because these posts can be filled only by direct recruitment.
There is no arrangement for promotion like this in the relevant manuals. In such a situation, the four officers have been sent to their old original post. Information Director Shishir says that on the orders of the High Court, the four personnel have been repatriated to the original post.
