Prostitution Racket Exposed In Kondhwa, Spa Owner and Manager Arrested; Valuables Worth Rs 76,000 Seized
Kondhwa, 2nd December 2024: The Crime Branch’s Anti-Human Trafficking and Trade Prevention Unit (AHTU) uncovered a prostitution racket operating under the guise of a massage center in Kondhwa. The raid led to the detention of three individuals, including a foreign national, while the owner and manager of the establishment were booked.
The accused include the massage center’s manager, Shiv Rajesh Bhosale (21), a resident of NIBM Road, Kondhwa, and the owner, Nikhil Rajendra Naik (26), a resident of Fursungi. Assistant Police Inspector Chhaya Jadhav lodged a formal complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station.
According to information given by the police, the AHTU had received credible information about illegal activities taking place at Irene Spa on NIBM Road. Acting on this tip, a team deployed decoy customers to confirm the reports. Upon verifying the allegations, a raid was conducted, exposing the operation.
Investigations revealed that the manager, Bhosale, enticed young women, including a foreign national, with promises of money and coerced them into prostitution. The three women detained during the operation have been sent to a reformatory for rehabilitation.
Authorities seized valuables worth ₹76,000 from the premises, including mobile phones and various other items. The raid was conducted under the supervision of Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade and Deputy Commissioner of the Crime Branch Nikhil Pingle. Further investigations are underway.
