Protest in Pune Demands Action Against Atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh

Shivajinagar, 5th January 2025: A surge in violence and atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh has triggered outrage, with a protest organized by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demanding immediate action from the Indian government. The protest, titled Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan, was held near Balgandharva Rangmandir on Jungli Maharaj Road at 4 PM today, drawing over 250 participants.
The demonstrators raised concerns over incidents of murders, lootings, atrocities on women and children, forced displacements, and the destruction of temples in Bangladesh. They demanded the Indian government ensure the safety of Bangladeshi Hindus and take up the issue at international forums.
Carrying placards with slogans like ‘Protect the Hindus in Bangladesh and give them protection,’ ‘Expel the Bangladeshi infiltrators, save the country!’ and ‘Boycott Bangladeshi products,’ the protesters formed a human chain to draw attention to the plight of Bangladeshi Hindus.
Representatives of several Hindutva organizations, including the Warkari Sanghatana, Gaurakshak, Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh, and Ranragini Shakha, participated in the demonstration.
