Pune, 23rd June 2025: In a heartwarming initiative aimed at supporting visually impaired children, the Pune Social Group (PSG) Charity Wing, in collaboration with the Neeta Care Foundation, successfully organized a school bag and meal distribution drive at the Poona School and Home for the Blind, with events held at both the Koregaon Park (Boys) and Kothrud (Girls) campuses.
At the Koregaon Park boys’ school, the distribution drive was led by PSG Charity Wing Chairperson Ria Chauhan and Founder Swaroop Roy, along with school administrators Sameer Gadgil and Rashmi Nair. Students were handed new school bags and treated to a nutritious meal.

“Giving back to the community, especially to children who overcome challenges daily, is a core part of our mission,” said Ria Chauhan, highlighting that such engagements are more than charity—they’re a reminder of shared responsibility.

At the Kothrud campus for girls, the drive continued with Neeta Care Foundation Directors Pallavi Gadgil and Sameer Gadgil joining the efforts, alongside Chauhan and Roy. Admins Rashmi Nair, Prachi Bidwe, and Neha Pandya Aher also supported the event, ensuring the smooth distribution of school kits.

Meals for all the children were generously sponsored by PSG member Soumya Mani, whose contribution was warmly acknowledged by the organizing teams.

“We’re committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of underprivileged and specially-abled children,” said Swaroop Roy, emphasizing the group’s long-term commitment to inclusive community work. “It’s not a one-time effort. We believe in consistent, purposeful engagement.”

As part of their ongoing charitable agenda, PSG announced upcoming initiatives such as tree plantation drives and riverbed cleaning campaigns, reinforcing their dedication to environmental and social causes.
