Pune Division Hosts High-Level Railway Meeting with MPs from Pune and Solapur Divisions

Pune, 23rd June 2025: The General Manager of Central Railway, Dharam Veer Meena, along with senior officials from Pune and Solapur Divisions, held a joint review meeting with Members of Parliament from the two divisions at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office in Pune on Monday.
The meeting was attended by MPs Supriya Sule (Baramati), Shrirang Appa Barne (Maval), Omprakash Bhupalsing Rajenimbalkar (Dharashiv), Dhairyasheel Rajsinh Mohite Patil (Madha), Amol Ramsing Kolhe (Shirur), Bhausaheb Rajaram Wakchaure (Shirdi), Nilesh Dnyandev Lanke (Ahmednagar), Vishaldada Prakashbapu Patil (Sangli), Rajni Ashokrao Patil (Beed), Nitin Laxmanrao Jadhav Patil (Satara), Shivaji Bandappa Kalge (Latur), Maya Naroliya (Hoshangabad), and Medha Kulkarni (Rajya Sabha – Pune). Supriya Sule was unanimously elected as Chairperson of the committee.
Central Railway’s General Manager welcomed the MPs and acknowledged their support in the completion of key railway projects. He highlighted Central Railway’s recent achievements, including winning the prestigious G. B. Pant Shield and securing first and second positions in innovation awards.
Deputy General Manager K. K. Mishra conducted the proceedings, while Divisional Railway Managers Rajesh Kumar Verma (Pune) and Sujeet Mishra (Solapur) gave detailed presentations on the performance and progress of their respective divisions.
Members of Parliament raised a range of issues concerning passenger amenities, train services, and infrastructure within their constituencies. They appreciated the recent initiatives undertaken by the railways, such as the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, introduction of Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat Express trains, and deployment of special trains.
Railway officials responded to queries and gave assurances to incorporate the MPs’ suggestions into future planning and development aimed at improving passenger convenience.
