Public Holiday Declared For Employees For Voting In Maval, Pune, and Shirur Lok Sabha Constituencies On 13th May

Pune, 11th May 2024: The Lok Sabha General Election 2024 is underway, and the Maharashtra Government has declared a public holiday in the respective Lok Sabha Constituencies on the day of polling. As Maval, Pune, and Shirur Lok Sabha constituencies will be polled on 13th May, there will be a holiday in these respective constituencies on this day.
As per the notification issued by the Maharashtra State Government, this public holiday will also apply to voters in the respective constituencies who are away from their constituencies for work. Additionally, this public holiday will apply to state and central government offices, semi-government offices, public enterprises, and other institutions.
To enhance voter turnout in this election, extensive public awareness campaigns are being conducted. Pune District Collector and District Election Officer Dr Suhas Diwase have urged citizens to fulfil their national duty by voting and participating in the grand festival of democracy.
