Pune, 29th November 2021: As the city experienced a shortage of CNG supply in the last two days, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus services are also disturbed because of it.

Speaking about CNG shortage Ali Daruwala, Spokesperson of All India Petrol Dealers Association said,”In last two days, the city experienced an acute shortage of CNG supply because the Gas Authority of India (GAIL) has suspended its gas supply for maintenance work on an urgent basis. However, the supply was resumed by Sunday evening on November 28, yet many CNG vehicle owners had to bear the hardship because of it.”

According to the PMPML traffic control officer Dattatray Zende, there are 1600 CNG buses in PMPML’s convoy. Out of these 1300 buses ply on the road daily. There are CNG gas pumps at Katraj, Hadapsar, Kothrud and Na Ta Wadi bus depots. Since Saturday, the CNG supply was disturbed and therefore many buses were unable to run. This ultimately, impacted bus services in the city and passengers had to suffer the inconvenience.
