Pune: 10 Bungalow Owners Booked By Lonavla Police For Illegally Renting To Tourists

Lonavla, 1st August 2022: Lonavala city police have registered cases against as many as 10 people who illegally rented bungalows on three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This action was taken under the guidance of Police Inspector Sitaram Dubal.

A new trend has emerged in Lonavala city of offering bungalows for rent to tourists. While renting out these bungalows, some people are renting out bungalows illegally without taking any permission from Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), and the process of filing a case has been initiated against them.

Two people have died accidentally in two private bungalows in Lonavala in the last fifteen days. Police Inspector Sitaram Dubal said that the issue of the legality of private bungalows and the safety of tourists has been raised by the chiefs, and the police administration has taken action against those renting out bungalows without authorization.

The officer said that a survey of unauthorized swimming pools has also been conducted by Lonavla Municipal Council and action will be taken against them soon.
