Pune: 109 Candidates Got Maharashtra Government Jobs Based On Bogus Sports Certificates, Now Dismissal Recommended
Pune, 30th July 2022: It has come to light that 109 candidates across the Maharashtra state got government jobs on the basis of bogus sports certificates. Out of the 109 candidates concerned, 17 have also been recommended for cancellation of government service.
In the last few years, cases of getting government jobs on the basis of bogus sports certificates have come to light. Therefore, the sports department decided to verify the sports certificates.
A few months ago, a scheme regarding sports certification was also introduced. It was clarified that no criminal action will be taken against those submitting bogus sports certificates, or bogus sports certificate verification reports keeping the name confidential.
In this background, the sports department has recently published a list of 109 candidates whose sports certificate verification report has been cancelled on the website. The respective candidates are working on the posts in various departments like the Department of Home, Health Department, Education Department, Agriculture Department, Rural Development, State Tax, Law and Justice, Finance Department, Water Resources, Revenue and Forest. The concerned candidates have a bogus certificates in sports like Powerlifting, Softball, Kayaking, Canoeing, Fencing, etc.
The sports department also recommended the cancellation of government service of 17 candidates for the posts of police constable, typist, agricultural assistant, agricultural and education staff, group education officer, talathi, etc.
